Plus we will nagg you all the time until its running a 13b :p

bike is already in the garage waiting :D

i think it will all hinge on the MOT - i just have a real bad feeling about this exhaust to be honest

but i dont know how to sort it out - with out major mods to the underside of the car

maybe its just me looking on the bad side of EVERYTHING ??

We all have days like these bud, every time i hear a new rattle or sqeak or knock or splutter... I\'m in a similar situation myself, I have the FD as my daily car (which lets face it is just plain silly) and the bug in the garage... I have a lot of money in the bug but it aint finished and hasn\'t got very far in the last year and a half. I now have a lot of money in the FD and more with every mile... I think I\'ve probably gone a little too far for a daily car, it\'s very loud and it\'s all too tempting to put my foot down. Every now and then I have a day where I think maybe i should get a sensible car, then i drive a normal car and remember why i love the rotary... Cant win!

You\'re just a few years on from where I am now, you have the sensible car, two rex\'s and a bike...

im still not sure - just i have lost a lot of interest in it - and i dont know why - it does sounds like a mid life crissis - but then you usually buy a sports car not sell one !! LOL
...
Stu

Yeh - but you already had one - so it works in reverse !! :D

I\'m with the comments above - put a 13b or even a 20b into a westfield or wide caterham body - you know it makes sense - mileage will be good - you\'re never going to need more than a 1/3 throttle with a car that light, and you will be spanking the arse :spank off everything on the road - plus all the lights / seats / suspension are easy and accessible !

But if your making room for more kids - surely the other \'7\' is even less practical ?:3Confused

grinder

all 7\'s arent practical to be honest - so a 2 seater cab is no worse

im getting more and more tempted to get the cab on the road - its solid under neath - fresh rebuild etc.. - its prob easy got another 5 yrs in it

the coupe - hummmm the more i think about it the more i get depressed about it

hopefully got another exhaust on the way to me ( toady fingers crossed ) so if i have chance will get it swapped over - and then its MOT time ( end of the month )

think im just having a bad time what with new baby arriving in a few months and this exhaust i just feel like giving up

its YOU guys that keep me going :D

Hi Stu,

I\'d keep her mate I have\'nt seen my 7 for almost 5 months now  Its one of the things that I\'m looking forward to when i return. You only live once and being in a place like this makes you appreciate that, So i say enjoy yourself mate I\'m going to :Party

All the best

Paul

grinder

well it goes from bad to worse

phil arrived with a spare exhaust - and yup - that doesnt fit either

the only exhaust that will fit on the car is the one i gave away

phil has taken the stainless one away to try it on the car that has my exhaust on to see what its like

so now i have a car thats really annoying me with no exhaust on it and not sure when it will have :(

Hmmmm sell them both and the bike and all the bits you have in your attic and then go out and look around until you find a nice 20b cosmo. It has loads of room for the ruggies and the missus and as you have seen from Kevs it also has potential.
Seriously get it through an mot otherwise it wont be worth half as much.
 cheers, michael.

grinder

cheers michael

not a bad idea - but i really dont think i could get a cosmo in the "potential" garage !!

i know it needs a MOT - thats why i wont make a choice until that point

Hmmmm hows about selling it all then getting yourself a nice old skool piece of machinery?? An RX4 would fit the familly for fun days out and also be alot of fun! Just look at Rays 4 coupe, it is schmick as and really good fun around a circuit too.  If only my moggy would accidently burn to the ground, I would buy your coupe from you. It is snowing up here today inbetween hailing so doing the whole project thing outside is wearing thin!!!

shaunwil

Its not a bad idea, Ray has a few rx4\'s that would make extremely good project cars, get the shell blasted and rebuilt then rebuild the car !

Would be alot of fun :D
