Hi guys, my alloys and a lot of Jap alloys have the metal valves, but you try and inflate the tyre using the normal Petrol stations tyre inflators the nozzle of the air pump is too big, even the air compressor I have at home will not fit!
Is there an adapter out there or a special tyre inflator to pump up these tyres using these alloys

I had the same problem with the work rims that were on the car when I bought it!! You have got 2 options mate:
1) rip them out & replace them with eather a set of flush fit jobbies that you can get from halfords or the stock rubber ones
2) Get one of thoes cheapy tyre compressors that fit in to the fag lighter as they seal on the thread rather than at the top of the valve itself......... you know the ones I\'m chatting about: push the fitting over the valve then you have to push a plastic lever 90 degrees to seal it befor you start to pump it up.

I\'ve got metal 90 deg ones that are jap sized and have no problems at all in using petrol station compressors, I can put you intouch with the company I got mine from if needs be.

the problem im having is there is the ridge of the alloy on either side of the valve which makes it impossiable to place the air compressor fitting over the top coz its too thick in diameter
