Are these guys much of a muchness, i always hear good things about pip at wgt, but then reworx seems to get just as good a praise..
i need my car mapped, so is it for example worth doing another 100 miles each way to see pip ?

Reworx
Distance: 77.3 miles
Time:1 hr 42 min

WGT:
Distance: 174.6 miles
Time: 3 hr 10 min

thanks guys, i dont mind doing the 6hr 20 drive, but if wgt reworx are just as good it seems silly to spend the whole day driving :)

G@NDY

both are as good as each other, highly recommended. If i were you i would choose reworx everytime, simply down to the travelling time:Thumbs-up

Having used WGT in the early years and RE:Worx more recently I\'d choose WGT of the two.

From London (I\'m SE London so wherever you are can\'t be worse!) I\'d also suggest chacking our Carl Hayward.

i go to wgt, i am in st.albans, but for something simple like a remap it prob aint worth the trip.  i dunno, as pip built my engine i would have to go back to him now.  saying that if you leave early it aint that long a trip up to WGT
IF YOU DIDN\'T CARE YOU WOULDN\'T BE LOOKING

I travel just over 210 miles and go to WGT.  Infact I\'m there this weekend coming!

another vote for carl -always found him very helpful and on top of that probably the closest of all of them to you. Why travel (at 15mpg!!) when you don\'t have to?

I use Reworx, Max is a guru when it comes to mapping FDs and it nice to get a dyno chart before and after mods, but then again I have been mapping my own car over the last few months, going to get it Dynoed to see the result of my latest efforts

Daft question here but I was planning on booking my in at WGT at some point summe rtime, would i be better to phone earlier and get booked in, whats the waiting time like on get your car looked at? Sorry I just thought I would randomly hijack this thread and ask :) just after it getting it checked over at the moment but by summer I might have one or two things I want done. hehe

Pip has been playing with rotaries for a very long time and has an excelent rep [much deserved] I would suggest he maps on the side of caution [a good thing]
The guys at Reworx [Max or Geff] are the guys that consistantly produce the power cars [have a look at the dyno list] and from personel experience I would not hesitate recommending them, you are involved with the whole process and kept informed with what is going on.
But as stated above you pay your money and you takes your pick. I would however say from a personel perspective mapping is a far safer experience on the dyno than on the road.
