Where is the

Knock sensor located? and how is is it to get to and take off? lol Had a search but couldnt find anythin.:god

just wanted to give it a clean or get it replaced. Its playin up we think, had the car out and its being daft under no pressure  etc.

pmsl, no I\'m not that daft! nah its annoyin me, driving at 30 or just granny driving and it was reading daft and the heat light was popping on and off. SO I thought ooooo dear but spent the afternoon ( Super lovely weather up here today!) blasting it, red lining it etc heaps and the knock was reading just above zero, so we guessed the sensor is just playing up and getting old time for a new one ( hopefully thats all it is anyway)

im sure some one will correct me but the knock sensor is a microphone now im not sure but i saw some thing alot like a mic under the vac chamber in front of the plenum.

It is positioned just above front rotor trailing spark plug on the rotor housing.Sensor is shaped similar to 50p but with more sides.

the electrical connector for it if you follow single black wire from sensor is behind front lifting eye /below oil filler neck.Sensor is easy to get out but connector is a bit tricky to get to without removing alternator/lifting eye, etc.It is tucked away but can be done with patience and some long nose pliers........................
