Ready for seam welding? :)

How long did u spend cleaning/scraping it to get all the sounds deadening etc off?

Yep - probably start the welding tomorrow/Friday.

Far too long!  but I wanted to make it as neat as possible.  I have been doing it a few days a week over the last few months.

I think that it would be 3 weeks flat out on it,  haven\'t done the bottom yet!  gotta get it on the hoist for that.

It is a real killer job!!!!!

Glenn,

Looking smooth. All that work will bring rewards.

Here is a pic of the D1 Drift Amemiya FD being prepped.
Might give some ideas

Russ.

Glenn,

What colour is it going to be?  I am presuming you are going to spray it how it is to tidy up the look of the inside and stuff?

Cheers
Lee

Hi Lee!

Colour is a secret at the moment ;)

It won\'t be painted for quite some time, as there is so much more to do.  But to get it to where it is has taken almost countless man hours to do - it is such a huge job removing all that body deadener etc.  Still have to do the underside of the car.
Thanks,

rextreme

I dont have any more pics but this is the leg-sport car.

Basically the same.

Lots of amemiya stuff on it.

There are some pics here.

At the front I noticed there is an interesting mod.

They made a special mount for the Tower bar. It doesnt interfere with the Strut tops. Should give a better result.

See engine bay pic here.

Thanks Russ for the pic. and the link (some interesting cages there!).

G\'day Glen,

Just been looking at your project and hats off to you mate,that\'s really gonna be some car when you\'ve finished, surely one of the most extreme RX-7\'s in the world. The 4-rotor engine should be fantastic being N/A with a huge torque output.Here\'s a picture of Mazda\'s 700bhp LeMans winning 4-rotor.

All the best for the project.

Regards

James
