Modified primary fuel rail

I’ve been modifying my primary fuel rail this week to fit 850cc injectors.
I have machined 1/8 inch of the top so that the injectors sit a bit lower and so the bottom o-ring seals.

Do you have to have to break the ends of the fuel diffusers when fitting 850cc primaries?

I\'m in the process of doing this so any advice would be cool, I\'m hoping to tap mine to take -6 aeroquip unions.
