Sounds good!  We should have a mini meet :D

A day of blasting it through the twisty welsh mountain roads in the cars followed by a day of singletrack!

yeah yeah yeah yeah! Welsh roads- wow. We had a 175bhp dolomite sprint track car a few years back and I remember Hannah got to drive it up to Betws y Coed (spelling? I\'m a Kiwi- hence even less chance of getting to grips with Welsh place names). We were to sell it but potential buyers turned out to be tyre kickers - not that Hannah complained as she got to drive it back after 2 days mtbing! what a weekend!
More of that please

Project coming along nicely- I\'m at that point where its pick up a component, clean it, paint it and fit it! Not having to think too much right now as mostly its just refitting standard mazda or chevette bits. minimal bodging needed :D

My new steering rack bits arrived from TJ motorsport. Thanks Tim. Two extra teeth on the pinion cuts lock to lock from 3.5 to 2.4 turns. Cool.
Stripped rack and with only 25,000 miles on car showed no wear. Swapped bits and all good.

Then just as I was fitting a new clutch disc (Ebay-£10 inc postage-bargin!!!) I noticed the spigot bearing sitting in bits at bottom of its little cave. ****! No seal was present where there should be one. Ordered a new bearing and seal but to remove old required the use of my now very worn Die grinder.

By Sunday evening last weekend after some last minute bell housing polishing I had engine and box sitting
in place on my freshly painted mounts.
Phew! Onto the refit.
The master cylinder was failing on the car when I drove it back from london. I checked the one in the spares car and that was just as dire. A local motor factor rang me back after I was asking for a seal kit and informed me they had a new master cylinder complete and I got for only £70 (RRP £120)

Soooo happy- fitted it in with freshly painted servo and its looking like a new car in there! now doing new brake lines- more photos soon.

except that they are about 1/4 the size of one fitted to a rotary and don\'t come with a thermostat an pressure bypass as standard. If it doesn\'t leak fit it an replace at a later date. The one I have has a bit of fin rot so I intend to replace it with a better one at some point (it\'s a Gen2 one)
