I have no rear wipe on my car. I have the washer that works and the switch with power to the wires in the rear boot lid. I removed the plastic trim and someone has spent a lot of time filling the hole, actually welding a section of metal in, not just filler. But why would you want to remove the wiper motor and arm they are very useful in the rain, so before I go to the expense of putting it all back is there a good reason for removing it.

The only good reason is for the look.  It looks sleeker and smoother without it.

I had mine removed because when i put my foot down it flipped back and smacked into my spoiler, that happened a couple of times :3gears-rh

I\'ve got one but only use it when stationary because when your moving the rain tends to either miss it? or just run down so you don\'t really need one.  Not like a car with a near vertical rear window that gets splashback.

I\'ve got a R2 with no rear wipe from the factory... Best thing I done was covered it in rain-X, the water just runs off!

Still need to get some anti fog for the inside glass as that always mists up on me... I\'ve taken to leaving packets of silica gel in the car!

in all honest, rather than going to the hassle of getting it put back on, your best bet woould be to find someone that will swap boot lids.  a lot of people would prefer not to have one
IF YOU DIDN\'T CARE YOU WOULDN\'T BE LOOKING

FD3SNuttah

rub half a potato on your back screen.. this will make the rain fly off.

I have an R2 as well - you dont miss the rear wiper at all.

Never had a rear wash wipe on my car...had them removed from both the previous ones :)

I\'m going to try this PIAA stuff, they do wiper blades so can use them on the front but also cleaning stuff which I presume is like Rain-X

sparkgap

Get another car for driving in the rain.

hugo

Thanks for that gents, I will take sparkgaps advice and buy a car for the rain.

Well, I enjoy driving in the rain, as long as you know you\'re tyres are OK ;)

I still love trackdays in the wet!

I had my rear windscreen wiper removed, just as you described, when I decided to go barearsed. It looks that much better. Unfortunately, I was away at the time and they didn\'t remove the washer jet which is a shame. I am thinking of replacing it with an aerial at some point.

You basically don\'t need a rear wiper. Yes, it does mean it doesn\'t clear at low speed but it isn\'t a hatchback, its a sports car. That\'s the only way I can convince myself it was the right decision...cos really, it is a bit of a PITA

P.S. If you want to go back to stock you might want to consider a swap as people are always doing this mod and you will save them a packet. Someone was looking for a Bathurst boot lid the other day, yours would be a suitable replacement...
