Can it be done on a weekend?  

Bugger.  I need loads doing to this money pit!

Brakes, steering, fan, dent pulled out, new tyres for my 15" deepdish wheels......oh heavens - I should of just had kids.  I\'m sure its cheaper

I had the problem with the play in the steering wheel and also when driving the 7 would wander all over the road no matter what adjustment i made to the steering box, but the problem was the bushing\'s in the idler arm were shot replaced them now as tight as a gnats chuff...

what\'s an idler arm??  Is it in the Haynes book?

Its the arm on the opposite side of the steering assembly. The bushes are squeezed together to take out the play. Replacement ones are only about 10quid !

Cheers, I\'ll take a look once the snow clears.

Keep us posted on the LPG conversion too.  Most interesting.  How do you mix the oil tho?  Where will the tank go & how will you feel about driving a bomb around?

You could say the same thing with the petrol tank !!!! Im going to be mixing the oil in via a couple of jets in a adapter plate of 1/2in alu plate. Making it good for future turbo setup too
