Hi all.

Were rigging up an Intercooler on my Mates Single Turbo and it struck me what size Pipe would be best?

The Outlet on the Turbo is 2.5" and the Inlet elbow is 3"? The Intercooler has\'nt had the inlet and Outlet welded on yet so this can be changed quite easly.

I\'ve had a look at quite a few diffrent cars and they all seem to be diffrent, So the question is will there be any diffrence if i use 3" or 2.5"? I would imagen the 3" would hold more Volume so may effect the responce???? But on the other hand it would be easyer to shape the pipe if its smaller bore??

Fish

All depends on the size of the turbo, the length to the intercooler from the turbo (smaller to, larger from I.C.).

im in the process of plumbing in pipe work for my to4r.
I have used 2.3/4" from the turbo to the intrcooler and 3" from my intercooler to my elbow.

Hope you are welding a bead on those pipes:Thumbs-up  will help stop any hoses blowing off at full boost.
