Look at this cack design!!!!

Well actually after looking at the photos you can\'t really see the cack design!

Anyway just had new exhaust system put on my car, silenced De cat and back box, and the guy was curious as to how the previous back box worked.

Pip had said it was restrictive when he mapped it the other day (yes I\'m taking it back for remap :rolleyes: )

It seams to have chambers in it so what I thought was a 3" straight through turned out to be the strangest design I have seen. At 1st chamber there is only a 2" pipe that takes the exhaust gasses to the second chamber?

Food for thought for any of you that have a Jap back box on.

A very valid point and of course not one I would have thought of actually.

Although was pretty flaming loud actually so still a cack design!! :rollin

In fact come to think of it my new system seems a little quieter (untill I boot it) and that is with the cat off :confused:





PS Please tell me if you think this is a vendors design so I can edit my post

Half the exhausts on RX7s are probably like that or similiar tbh, I\'ve see a couple with worse (for power, not for noise as Mike says internals.
