Crazy Eddie

Hi Guys,
After replacing my orange indicators and reflectors on the front I figured I would go the whole hog and replace the front sidelights / indicators with the crystal clear upgrade.

But now I can\'t decide which I prefer (clear on left and standard on right of numberplate) :Hammer
The thing is on the clear ones you can see amber which kind of defeats the object :(

Could you please vote so that I don\'t have to ask every mate that comes to the house (they don\'t like it when I do that!) :D

Cheers
Eddie

I have the clear ones on mine: much nicer in my opinion. But that\'s what it\'s about, it\'s all down to personnal opinion. I have met some people (admitedly they are mad) who do not like the look of the RX-7!

Spen

Get some silvertech bulbs in the crystal ones mate as they look silver but flash orange. Then give them to me along with your late spec rear lights:p

Iain C

^^what he said!
Where did u get the clears from?

Crazy Eddie

Lights are available from here:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Racerbits
I bought most of my clear reflectors and these front lights and they are very good. Don\'t know how they compare price wise but they come in about a week which I was pleased with.

Spen the lights have orange built into them so I wouldn\'t know how to pull the lights apart to use those silver bulbs. Oh and are you going to convert your rear lights as well then? Must admit I\'m well pleased with them :D

Well depending upon the outcome of this poll I might be selling these anyway and leaving the standards in :Hammer

NurburgRob

Give them a coat of \'turbo lights\' and finish with acrylic lacquer, they will look great on your dark coloured car and have a shiny finish too

with some silver or blue bulbs that flash orange. Are you sure the orange is built iin and not just the orange bulb reflecting?

Crazy Eddie

Hiya Robbie,
Those are the same mate and it is definately within the light. The bulb is clear. Isn\'t that the same as stock anyway (clear bulb)?
Pop down if you want to look only 1 fitted as you can see :D

Just voted They are both cack do something different! SELL THEM TO ME :evillaugh . Did you get these from the us?

Crazy Eddie

^^^ :Laugh
All joking aside You can have 1st dibs if you like I will decide before weekend if keeping them :p

Crazy Eddie

Here you go guys and as you can see there is an orange surround on the inside of the light. It does have a screw in it but I wouldn\'t know how to get to it. Think I might go back to standard if I do would anyone be interested?

Iain C

damn orange insides.
I think these will need modding

D1 WTF

stick with them, i had the same prob on a set of fiesta rear lights, i just cut it out (the orange bit in your case) if you have a dremel etc you should have the tools to do it.  use a drill to cut a few chunks out of it,  small enought to fit back out the hole.then use a cutting disk and go round the edge etc, bit fiddly but can be done in an hour or so.,  then use silver tech bulbs.

sounds more work than it actually is
IF YOU DIDN\'T CARE YOU WOULDN\'T BE LOOKING

I have these and that orange bit is a bit annoying. I was considering heating the glue up and removing the lense but I\'d probably screw it up...just thought the alternative might be to drill the screw out from the other side?
