Hi all,

i have been told by my local mechanic that i need to change my "rear top suspension arm to hub bearings/bushes"

now i have doen some research but are these part number FD01-26-220 or are they FD01-26-230 as it seems to vary on the pdf\'s?

This link (http://www.maxcooper.com/rx7/how-to/suspension/pillow_balls/index.html)  says they are the 220\'s but in the workshop manual it says they are 230\'s!!!!

any help please??
cheers

Have a look on rx7club.com. Malloy mazda are doing a group buy on these for extremely good price. They are expensive parts !!!!

also on this pdf

it shows that the one i want to replace is a 230!!! is there actually any difference? or is it just me being really dumb?

i want to replace the bush/bearing that sits in front of the one the bottom of the shock goes into.

cheers

This is the same diagram I used to replace one of my bushes and the part number was correct on this.

The bushes - if I am looking at the correct bit are both the same?

The dust shields on mine where toast so I ordored 2 more which are part number 26-250 - they cost £11.70 for the 2 inc vat.

I think the toe link bush should read 230 and the 6 pillow balls are 220\'s and dust caps are 250\'s

Jovic82

it does say that they are the same but on rx7club it says they are 220\'s and again on that guide i posted up?????

Spartacus

Let us know where you get them and how much as and when you do.

Jovic82

also just another quick question , do you need to change both sides at the same time or can you just do the one side if it has started to wear on its own???

Thanks
Nick

Well I have always changed one at a time (as and when they go) and the car will always feel much better because the broken bushes give excess play in the suspension setup.

About to order my third bush in 14months once I decide which is going.  I want to do the entire rearend in one go as I can see me doing 1 every few months :2Confused

Mine didn\'t feel very bad but i was swapping all my bushes and felt it needed to be done. Compaired to the new ones mine where getting very loose but the handling wasn\'t effected. You sometimes are better off swapping the whole lot.
