Considering all options as my engine is going to be rebuilt.  I want to stay with twin turbos, for me they epitomise the car (personal preference). I believe the 99 on Turbos are considered to be \'better\'.

Recently Clive was selling some further uprated twins.  Does anyone have experience of upgrading their twin turbos.  Be interested to hear what difference it made and where you got your bits.

Cheers

99 spec turbo\'s are sligtly larger so they give slight gains in power but they don\'t have 360 bearing in so 1 bar is still the limit for them. You can get hiFlow turbo\'s but you don\'t get a masive gain for the money, What ever you go for make sure you get 360 bearings.

If you want to upgrade look into BNR stage 3 Turbo\'s, there expencive but about as far as you can go and keep the Seq set up.

I have only seen 2 sets of +99 spec twins that were \'propper\' it is a miss conception that all 99 spec were bigger where in fact the only ones that were are fitted to the 280ps engines [most 99 cars in this country were the RB\'s which were the 265ps engines fitted with the same turbos as everyones]

The RX7 store in the US is selling BNR stage 3 turbos and they are cheaper than 99 spec Efini replacement turbos.

John you had some BNRs for sale recently, where did you source these from?

Does anyone have experience with BNR stage 3 Turbo\'s?  Has anyone got these fitted to their car?

I sold these off of my car a few months ago, they were originaly set up for non seq. which did not suit my driving style [full boost was seen @ 4.5k] I re-converted them to seq. and all I can say is wow:InLove when the 2nd turbo comes in you realy notice the kick. If for what ever reason you dont want a single turbo but crave the power the BNR\'s are quite special.

John can I ask, did you buy these from new?  If so where did you source these from?
