It is a shame the two clubs cann\'t get on better as I think they are a great bunch of guys and girls over at RX8 Owners Club and of the few of you guys I\'ve meet (at JAE) you seem like nice guys and girls to.  Lets hope things can change.

Part of the reason I was recently elected to the post of Chairman of the RX8OC was because it is my intention to forge closer links with all fellow rotary enthusiasts whether they be in the UK or on the continent. Both of our clubs have much to offer each other and we are comparative \'newbies\' to the rotary scene, compared to some of you 7 owners and your wealth of experience is much sought after especially as many of our 8\'s, including mine, are now ending their warranty period.

Totally agree with both of the above. As some of you know I\'ve been an active member of both clubs organising several events. It would be really cool if the clubs can work together more and I very much hope this meet is the start of things to come.

It sounds as if there has been a little missunderstand on a few peoples parts me inclued in this and I did mean to upset anyone and I was not blaming anyone or any club.

If you read all of my post that Jon took that quote from I do say what a nice group of people there is is in both sites and at the time of posting this I had had only one reply to my post in the "Moderators Only Section" (by Jon) saying it wasn\'t me that had deleted the post.

Once again may I just say sorry for any missunderstanding my posts may have cause and can we all be friends and get back to the main point of both clubs which is enjoying are motors.

This is exactly the sort of thing that doesn\'t help.

I am not being hysterical as I was accused on the OC. I have about a dozen examples of my posts over there being edited or deleted without any notifcation or explaination which I do not think is acceptable. They cannot all be \'forum glitches\' and it does seem to happen if I ever mention the MRC.

So I appologise if my earlier post caused offence but that is honesty how I feel and I do have the evidence to back it up.

The last time it happened I actually made a formal complaint to Jon and he didn\'t even bother to reply. That was definately not a techincal issue as the moderator in question admited to doing it after someone else challenged what had happened.

I can therefore fully understand Chris and Sean\'s confusion and frustriation when the thread suddenly vanished. As a moderator on this site I would never change or move anyone\'s posts without having a valid reason (agreed with the moderating team) and without advising the person of what action I am taking and why.

So because I do not agree with the moderation on the OC I choose not to post much anymore. But that doesn\'t mean I don\'t still think it is a great club with some fab people.

As has already been said I would really like both clubs to start working together and I hope that this meet is the start of more joint ventures. So please can we all call a truce and go back to enjoying both clubs and our lovely rotaries?

right! havent we been busy folks...

i\'ve been in cardiff all week for work and didnt get a chance to get on here.

very happy with all the intrest as this is exactly what i wanted.

when i joined i had no idea about any of the forums but i specifically joined mrc (soon to be full member just need to get round to it) so that i would be able to see understand and enjoy all of the rotary heratige and future and imagined that this club would be a mish mash of all the types of rotarys and the coming together of the various clubs cars and eras.

i know you are all begining to weep now so i will stop but just wanted to add that i am very positive and determined to bring all that i can to this club and in the process learn about and enjoy all the types of cars and bikes etc that we all have.

i hope everyone enjoys this meet and Enjoys what this club has to offer also.

not sure about the RX8 OC discussions and when i joined i did think the two clubs were contained here but i hope any confusion is behind us and we can all enjoy all that is rotary.

and if i may say so it would be superb to see members from the Rx8 oc, mrc and many others at the meet (and many more meets if i can do it).

i just read your latest post ( i acctually typed the one above it little bits at the office but i was really busy) and i do agree with your points.

Our club, i believe is run very well so this to me means that the clerical crew & management are very good in all senses of the word perhaps that is best to concentrate on.

i dont know alot about the rx8 OC and actually at first thought that it was contained in here but i just agree that what you have said shouldnt be the way it is,

there is no excuse for no answers, replies or explanations in any circumstances this should be just common courtesy and without judging a club (which i am not implying) i do know i trust the thoughts of those who have expressed them on here because i have found all on here to simply be honest.

litterally i am saying that any issues with a club should be raised even on here (if i may say so and in my opinion) - i am sure forums have alot to do with poeples thoughts and if people are thinking we havent had answers to something then we should be free to discuss.

a forum in my opinion and even perhaps only my opinion is a discussion board. If you dont want to discuss somebodys issue or point with them then dont. there is no need for plain and simple rudeness.

this thread i would like to be not only all about this new meet in luton but about bringing together more of us, having a good time and creating more oppertunities for anyone and everyone to get together and on here, chat. Even if it means expressing any topic they feel strongly about on even this thread.

i dont mean this as a dig as i dont feel it ok to judge, i just wanted to express that yes we can concentrate on the things that we want to, we shouldnt ingore any issues anyone may have.

Wise words Tharek - and I\'m very glad all this hasn\'t put you off organising what I\'m sure will be an excellent meet.

I\'ll just try and close this debate with a final thought. If you look here: http://annhowlett.com/annualmeet06/annualmeet06.html you will see my photos from the RX-8 OC annual meet in September. It was organised by Jon (BIGWITHEY) and the rest of the OC Committee and we all had an excellent time.

This sort of thing is at the heart of both of our clubs - getting together and meeting fellow rotary owners. I can honestly say I haven\'t been to an MRC or OC event yet that I haven\'t really enjoyed. I think some of us (including me) lose sight of that at times and that is a shame.

So back to this event, here\'s the latest list. Very much looking forward to seeing all of you next Saturday.
