92 Type R Steering Wheel Fitment query

Hi,
I understand most RX7 owners run their cars with aftermarket steering wheels from 280 - 350mm.  I\'ve decided to go for a Mountney 300mm M Style Leather wheel.
I wish to bring the wheel further from the dash to give more clearance for the indicator stalks (Very important!), and I definately want a Snap-Off BOSS kit to attempt to stop thieves stealing my car.
The wheel Im buying can be purchased with or without a \'fitting kit\' costing £35.
Question is, do you need the fitting kit if your buying a Snap-Off BOSS kit.  And if you do OR do not need both, will the wheel be moved at least half an inch further from the dash?
This ones really stumped me and your help would be MUCH appreciated!!!
