Any suggestions who to try for a turbo to downpipe gasket for a TA45? Tried local exhaust place and a couple of turbo people I found online but no luck yet.

What does it look like?

Do a Google search for MIE Turbo\'s and give them a Try, they have been able to help me with some realy odd Turbo bits before now.

I was just thinking it may be worth drawing round the Flange and Faxing it to them so they know what your after?

Hmm. My TA45 has a 6 bolt fixing on the turbine housine, so must have a different housing. I got my gasket from Turbo Dynamics in Christchurch recently.

If you have an old gasket, you can photocopy it and fax it :D

I have faxed it off to a couple of people already with either no luck or no response. I can use the old one but it doesent look great and wanted to put all new gaskets on while its off.

kbareham - trying to figure out what size my rear housing is. I will try tyrbodynamics too.

I know this may sound daft but could you not make one from some copper plate?

I don\'t know if it would work due to tha Amount of heat an Rx produces btu my dad made one for a Lotus a few weeks ago and it seals realy well.

kbareham

That really isn\'t a bad idea. I have just finished my turbo to manifold gasket today from a sheet of copper. Time will tell how it holds up to the heat. I made one for my midpipe to downpipe joint some time back after the standard type kept blowing. No problems at all with it.

Copper .............. food for thought. Thanks.

I think my Old man used 1.5mm but i guess anything around about that will do (proberly better on the thicker side)  you can get it in Model shops and places like that.

Its an Option if your Strugling.
