Hi i am Carl, 22 from Peterborough,

i bought myself a 1992 J reg Mazda Rx7 yesterday and im well pleased with it. Been wanting one since first driving, now i have my dream car :D

I Have a fair bit of work as the person i bought it off has ruined it really, but the engine is great with only 38500 miles, gear box is a bit suspect tho but seen a few places i can get it all looked over. Any recommendations would be very appreciated. I will upload some pics of it as it is now as soon as i can, its already kitted up but bodywork needs sorting out.

Think i need to redo all the electrics tho as it looks really untidy and some gauges dont work and neither does the main display that displays the mileage and trip miles. Rev counter doesnt work as it is wired to one of those shift light ones and a digital speedo. The analogue is in km so need to get changed and deristricted. There is a lot to do so hopefully over the winter i can get it all done ready for show season and i would love it to make a cover of a magazine.

im not sure where to start really, but i want to make sure the engine is reliable first i suppose and then go for the cosmetics.

Well I think thats all.

Think it\'d be worth getting it over to your local rotary specialist for a once over :) They should have adverts at the top of the page or in their forum areas.

Oh and welcome :D

Dont trust Gandy he is bold and does good things and ................ errr

Get the car in working order, last thing you want is driving the car blind so to speak without any of the dials working correctly.

Welcome to MRC btw,
