My Turbo 2 Convertible has a stainless steel exhaust from the cat backwards. It was my intention, given that it\'s a 1990 car, to have the front section made up from stainless, with no cat.

I\'m told that you can\'t do that any more, the new MOT says that, if it had a cat when new then it will be tested as such, regardless of registration. Is this true?

Where would I source front section and cat? I dread to think what the cost of a cat will be.

That regulation sounds a bit strange?!

As you can not apply new legislation to old car\'s then your limit\'s will be 3.5%CO & 1200 HC\'s.  As far as im aware, as long as you are within these limit\'s then you should pass.  Im sure there are a lot of de-catted FC\'s about who pass this?

You can get a Decat pipe from (JP exhausts, Tube Torque or of the shelf WGT)

I sugest you Ring Pip at WGT and ask what the score is with it all? He does alot of this sort of thing.

Mine had a 3" full system with two very small Back box\'s, BUT!! i had an Aftermarket ECU so i could Play with it just for the MOT.

Does your have a Cat on the Down pipe too?? I am just Strugling to remember if Mine had two cats fitted?? I think it did. Maybe Buy a Big down pipe and a Hiflow cat?

Do you have any Plans on removing the Air pump? becouse this has a Direct effect on the cat if you do (The cat Clogs up over time)
