Figured i\'d check my throttle position sensor last night. Was incorrect, so adjusted it when cold. Now, this morning when the car has got all nicely snugg and warm, the blimmin voltages were out the other way! Got so bad that the ECU showed it up as an error, and she\'d sometimes stall at idle, and very difficult to get it to rev from idle!

Think the trick is perhaps to adjust it a tad the other way when hot? I dunno.

Just needed to vent some frustration with her!!

I had a similar problem.
when you adjusted it did you just loosen the screws slightly to enable it to turn or did you seperate it?
I took it off to have a look-see and as the valve is spring loaded, it moved so when I put the sensor back on the notch for the vavle wasn\'t engaged.

Is this making any sense to you? :-(

I have had it off - but when i did it last night i just loosened the nuts to move it. It was changing the values on the PFC hand controller though. Just all the values appeared to re-adjust once the car had heated up to operating temperature.

i thought you was only supposed to set it with a warm engine ??

Excellent - thanks. Least it explains why the voltages changed between me doing it last night, and this morning. She idles worse than she did before. Hopefully the drive home should be a bit better. It\'s fun adjusting it in the dark!!

no idea matey to be honest - unless it adjusts itself somehow when its cold - so when you set it - it then take MORE off hence crappy idle ??

yeah, voltages were lower once it had warmed up. It also explained why i had real trouble acvtually getting the settings to the correct levels. The job might be a bit easier now i know!! :p

Oi! Less of that cheak! :p Besides, I\'m a bloke: we don\'t read instructions! :D

Sorted now! :) Adjusting it while it\'s up to temp made it all a lot better. Didn\'t have to pull up to junctions with the handbrake after that. hehe
