Standard Re-circ Valve

I have the standard FD re-circulation valve on my FD which is now running a GT35R single tubby. The valve is plumbed into the elbow, with the \'control\' vacuum line plumbed into the upper inlet manifold. My question is: At idle, should it being blowing air out of it? I think it should, but i\'m not 100% sure on it.
