Hi All,

Can someone help me locate the part number / description for the sensor that is located ro the right of coolant level sensor on the front of the filler neck, research so far has indicated to me that its a thermoswitch for automatic models only and is connected to the gearbox and locks up the torque converter to stop it getting hot (?).  The garage im using are having trouble identifying this part to mazda, they think that its a sensor for fuel injection but im unsure if that is correct or not.  Can anyone help with supplying me this part, or just the part number/proper description to I can go through mazda!

Cheers for the help guys!

Section K-34 "water thermoswitch"

Hi Mate,
This shouldnt keep you from driving it - mines been missing since I got the car 3 years ago! Maybe checkit the wire has not
grounded itself.

I got mine from Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda in the states.
He\'s very well respected in the states. I got mine with a couple of other things and he even threw in a couple of freebies!

Sorry I cant help with the part number but Ray will know what you mean. Mines waiting to be installed (amongst other things) at Carl\'s. Maybe
you could ring him and he can look at mine for the number?

I thought that it might not cause a problem, but my temperature sensors are reading funny values and causing the car to over fuel, we noticed this sensor was dodgy so I assumed that sensor was causing the problem.

Your saying that if it is totally disconnected it should not cause a problem?

All I can say is mines never been connected :-/

Never had any problems with temp senders.

As per my reply in your wanted thread did you check for faulty sensors via the PFC?

I doubt the auto box water temp sensor will cause over fueling.

Checked the sensors and everything seems to be in order

I doubt its causing the problem either, on the wiring diagram its just a switch that grounds a pin on the EC-AT control box, so I would assume that either grounding that connector or leaving it disconnected would reproduce the default state for the switch and allow the car to run fine.

The garage want to replace the part anyway just to elminate the problem!  I can\'t see me getting my car back this week! doh!
