Righto - so I know how I\'m going to mount the engine.  I know how I\'m going to sort the sump.  What I\'m not sure about yet is getting the gearbox mount sorted...!!  The T2 gearbox I have doesn\'t appear to have anything attached to it, and the S3 came without a gearbox, so I\'m not sure if I need the S3 bracket and get that modified, a T2 bracket and get that modified, or get a new one made up from scratch...

anyone...?  anyone...???

The T2 box should have a crossmember attached to a boss on the bottom of the box by a couple of bolts (my S4 N/A box has)  Best bet is to get hold of a T2 mounting complete and bolt it up to the box when the engine is in the car and work it out from there, either weld new mountings on the car or cut and modify the bracket to suit the position of the mountings on the car. Being a fairly common swap you might find someone who\'s detailed thier solution on Aus rotary or Rx7club.com

Hi I modified a turbo II gearbox mount for the morris minor using the rubber bits and a small part of the original steel mount and using square tube with a 3mm wall thickness.  i wasnt sure how to do it myself either until I got the box in there and just had a look at what it needed and what bits I had.
On another note I think that Mullins has a 1st gen box for sale on his website? Wont be half as strong as your turbo box but might help??
good luck with it. Top project!
What happened to your FD by the way? Kinda like the look of that at RSIII.
 cheers, michael.

Cheers guys. Only one issue...I don\'t know how to weld  Sounds like modding the T2 mount is the way forward for this...

The FD is still purring along (actually roaring - the turbo gasket gave way straight after the manual gearbox was installed, and I\'ve not been able to justify getting it sorted yet...).  Tis my baby, and doesn\'t like living outside while a shell lives in the garage...

The 1st gen should be a scream tho! *GRIN*
