Hi,
 Can you help?
I am looking for ECU to suit turboII without using  normal wiring loom, Any advice?

arrouk

newera do a pfc i think that has a loom adaptor to your standard loom, or i think most go for the microtec and remove the omp if you want to make a new loom up.

I  normally  run an FC model with 13B 4pbp with 48 IDA weber. I blew  it up 2 weeks ago. A powerful engine, more than 230BHP.

I am not into drag/funday ,only  hillclimb/sprint meetings, It is important to get out of slow corners than a straight line.

What  kind of power  would you normally  get from the turboII with standard turbo and the aftermarket ECU?
For  money wise in long term, which would be better to spend on. rebuild the blown engine, or rebuild turboII engine and new ECU?

Grizzly

How much power do you want :)

if you want say 300hp you could get a Roller bearing turbo that would spool very fast and give you that sort of power.

But if you are more into the NA\'s i would sugest keeping your engine as it is and fitting Throttle Bodys with decent management. That should bring you nearer the 250hp mark with little else.

If you are on a Budget i\'d stick with the NA becouse it will proberly cost the best part of 3k to get a Turbo set up with the goodies to go with it.

Thanks for the reply,
it\'s difficult to make my mind up cos i have been using same 13B 4pbp for over 11 years without fail until 2 weeks ago.
I am very stuck this moment!!:xconfused (to be turbo! or not to be turbo!)

Grizzly

Well the advantage of a Turbo is if you want 250 hp from a T2 engine etc it would be fairly easy and it would be very drivable also parts are readly available.

But having said that there is a weight advantage in the Na route and also the Na would pick up quicker?? But would have a smaller power band?

Grizzly

If you don\'t mind me asking what cars is the engine in?
