Anything wrong with a Type S?

I keep seeing type S G3 RX7\'s going for very good prices.

Is it worth getting a type \'s\'?  what dont they have that other trims do have?  is the engine and suspension any different?

i think im going to import through Bonsai, and hopefully get the car im after, and one for my friend.

What would people suggest is the best model to aim for?

has anybody else imported in and seen the auction grade of the cars?  is auction grade 3.5 descent?

I have a type S and there great (few mods though)

I think they have a few less bits but nothing that important.  More due to weight and rigidity, engine is the same but less BHP as standard.  Mine has aftermarket suspension so i cant comment on that.

If its a 3.5 auction grade then i would take a close look at the exterior as there could be some blemishes.

i think the auction grade is only a basic guidline as to how modified or totally mullered it is & most the folks will say you need to see it in flesh to know whether it is a worthy car etc or just get sum1 who knows what they\'re looking at to do so or bid on yer behalf but good luck to ya either way....

I wouldnt recomend importing and buying blind from an auction place via bonsai, but that is only through experience of my own.  I have seen 1st hand what they do with cars there, met and spoke to the guys at bonsai + barbarian and SVA Uk Ltd where they are situated.  Alright guys but no respect for the cars.  That is only my own personal opinion from importing and beng there.
