I have now decided that it would be sensible to get the correct offset / width wheels for my new Burnout kit, so I’d like your advice and to quote me your best price on some Racing Hart CXRs;

I looked at their site, and can see all the options, but am a bit confused by what super low disc, super high disc and all that means.

I’m currently on the following;

Front Buddy Club Racing PII Plus in 19x8.5 +38 on 235/35/19
Rear Buddy Club Racing PII Plus in 19x9.5 +38 on 265/30/19

These fit pretty nicely on the stock arches with my Tein suspension, and importantly, the fronts fit well over my KAD 356mm discs/6 pot calipers.

Looking at the specs that others are saying for the Burnout kit, I have noted that the guys at KS Auto quote the following spec;

WEDS BVILLENS T8S RIMS
18F 9.0J+6
19R 10.0J+6

GOODYEAR REVSPEC TYRES
215/40 R18
235/35 R19

So, they are on +6 ET, but tiny width tyres which pull the sidewalls down to a ridiculous angle to fit under the shaved arches.

Others say that you should run an offset of +20. So I am a bit confused.

From their website, it looks like Racing Hart offer a +7, +14, +21, +28 option as standard.

I want to get a similar effect to the NSX in the attached pic, so do I order a low disc for the front, and a super high for the rear ?

Also, I guess I am looking at 9.0 or 9.5 front, and 10.5 rear. I don’t necessarily want the “too-small-tyre-on-too-large-rim-effect”, so would need tyre size recommendations too.

Can you give me advise on the best way forward, and then a quote for the relevant CXRs with the matt black face, polished rim ?

I am guessing at something like

Low disc + 21 19x9.0 front with 235/35/19
Super High disc + 21 19x10.5 rear with 265/30/19

I am looking for these quickly so that I can put them on the car, and get the bodyshop to do any fettling/adjustment to the arches prior to it going to primer.

would you not be better phoning or email companies direct for prices...

craigr

I would, but I don\'t know which companies (apart from Newera) get hold of the Racing Hart kit.

It\'s amazing. I have spoken to / emailed 6 vendors now, all purporting to import Racing Hart and Volk rims (the two types I am considering) - and I have got lacklustre responses from all. I am about to spend two and a half grand on rims / tyres and you\'d think someone would be interested in taking my cash - but no !

Anyone know of who I can try that may be able to ship me stuff quickly - i.e. 2 week window ?

Cheers, Craig

getting hold of the gear quickly will be a problem. From point of order to delivery of parts you are probably looking at a few weeks rather than days, as well as astronomical air freight charges.

I gave up trying to get buddy club wheels and eventually ordered a set of uk made Compomotive rims.

When I ordered my Volk rims from Prospec (before they disappeared), it took about 8 weeks to get hold of them.

Most japanese rims are made to order, so factor in build time as well - they are rarely just sat on a shelf.

My rims when I got them (also from Prospec who have now ceased business) took approx 8 weeks to make, I ended up having them specially flown over in the end which cost £250 (kindly paid by Prospec).

It can also help if you know someone that imports cars as they can bung them in the car on the container, it\'s just the waiting :)

Envy seemed to be the best response I got when I was interested in the Racing Hart wheels.

Just to give you an idea...When i get mine sorted & the widearch goes on, the rims i want are going to be £1650+shipping and i have to wait 3 months for them to make them also...

Did you try Newera ? They are usually pretty good at getting bits.

Did you try Checkpoint direct ?...vendor listings on page heady ?:cheers

I am running a plus 18 on a 10" front and rear workequip.  I have a full re adgt kit which is around 20mm wider than satandard.  Do you know how much wider the burnout kit is?  The best piece of advice i can give is buy an offset higher than you need and we can always run hub centric spacers which will allow us to get the wheel soitting perfectly within a couple of mm.  I will call a couple of importers see what i can come up with.  Regards Dave
