skyline rb25det in to rx7...

now i have your attention i am probably going to get slated,i am seriously thinking if fitting a skyline rb25 in to an fc or fd,the rb engine is 29" long and 24"tall inc sump,i dont have an engine bay to measure up,so does anyone know if this will fit and the bonnet close without having to cut any holes???
i think it could be quite different,instead of the usual sr20 swaps...:burnout or if there are any pics if this has been done already...thanks...

I am pretty sure that I saw this done iona jap magazine a year or so ago. PM mullins as he usually can find wacky conversions and pics of them. They are pretty decent engines though and might be cool as something different.

I think it was him who posted up the photos of an sr20 fd before? Just figured he might know some random kiwi website with this type of stuff.

In oz there is a 3 litre engine in the Holden vl commodore, Can be found in n/a or turbo form, if I remember rightly the twin cam head from a rb25 fits on. Its a pretty cool mod as the single cam vl turbo engine is already a top engine. Its a bit random but if done over here would be pretty much a first in the country and could be tuned for stupid amounts of horsepower too.
