Got my new wheels on, look so much better than the standard wheels, have a bit of a problem with rubbing on the front and back, have now sorted the back, the tyres were rubbing on the back arches on the lip, i soon sorted that out with a hammer hehe.  Now theres no rubbige on the back, but the front tyres rub on the plastic mainly round corners, is there anything i can do about this? anyone else done any mods on there front arches?

The new wheels are 18s, and are 8.5j front and 9.5j back, the car is also lowered 40mm.

Uploaded a pic from my phone, car looks a bit pink  NO IM NOT A FAIRY BOY LIKE ROSS AT DRAGON! :Tongue1 after seeing this months banzai! its red honestly

cheers i think they look so much better then standard wheels and fit the arches just right, look good having spokes going in on back alloys and straight on front.

RAW

had mine for nearly a year!...

8.5x18 all round, with the rear arches rolled.i don\'t have any rubbing problems except for full lock at the front.

chrisJDM

very nice! is yours lowered much?

mine seem to rub quite bad on the plastic on the front arch, especially with heavy cornering, i think its mainly rubbing on the front of the arch closent the front bumper.

You might have to roll your arches,if you havn\'t already done it? Otherwise you can pull the top of the inner arch out and thats nasty!!!!
Havn\'t seen Banzai this month will buy a copy today.

ive rolled the back arches myself with my trusty hammer, bit of a rough job but doesnt rub at all on the back now.  :Laugh its just the front that rubs a bit now, nothin major just rubs a bit on the plastic arch, just wondered if anyone else had modified there archs for bigger wheels on the front, i thought about just taking the plastic off, but then theres a big hole going through into the engine bay just where the air filters are, so all the crap and spray will go into the engine which would not be good.

The alloys defo look good on the car, especially the rear wheels.

How much did they cost.
