Since doing a compression test (not an accurate one ive since found out) when I start to hit boost the engine cuts dead, I have checked all connections around the area I was working to no avail, all plug leads were replaced to correct spark plugs etc etc, its as though its gone into safe mode (not sure if these cars have that as I still new at this), any suggestion would be greatly appreciated as I want her running full power for the jap show coming up soon, I hav`nt managed to get to one so far this year, thanx in advance, Ade

Try the egt fuse in the fuse box near the battery

grinder

try resetting the ecu

there is a procedure for it .. you may need to have a search around though

when you say cuts dead can you expand on this

does all power go ( radio turns off etc.. ) or does the engine just stop ??

ECU reset is traditionally just disconnect the battery for 20 mins or so.

I also recall something about pressing brake pedal after disconnected or something like that.

This is for any ecu not just your one btw.

Disconnect the battery and press the brake pedal down for 20 seconds.
Worked for me a few times till I got my charge solenoid fault sorted out.
