got me a new toy today ( pics at end of thread )

its a 1991 J Reg Convertable

brief stuff about it off the top of my head

1 - Convertable with a good roof
2 - 1991 - J Plate
3 - 61K on the clock
4 - Rotechnics engine went in it at 55K
5 - Auto ( but who cares )
6 - Eneki Rims ( or summat like that )
7 - Avon ZZ1 205 front 225 rear with LOADS of tread
8 - no tax ( and its a 2.6 )
9 - no MOT ( how i like a challenge )
10 - Dash in peices ( came like that - needs rebuilding - just the lights and stuff )
11 - Tan Leather interior with matching door cards
12 - front splitter ( Yipppeee )
13 - Front Fogs ( standard fitment i believe )
14 - HKS Turbo Timer ( looks like its a type-1 with loads of coooooooool features )
15 - Sigma M30 Cat 1 ( not sure what it is - but it locks the doors and bleeps )
16 - Roof cover in boot - looks like NEW
17 - 6 Disc CD Changer
18 - Kenwood head unit  
19 - front strut brace
20 - cant think of anything else but 20 is a round figure

21 - Momo steering wheel with a mazdaspeed badge
22 - green stuff front pads

bought the SS back boxes from the tony aswell ( yeah i know - parting with more cash eh !! )

Battery is on charge at the mo and pulling loads of amps - will try and start her tomorrow night

Big thanks goes out to Kev-Yorks for collecting the car and bringing it to my house - and it was abotu 275 mile round trip for me

yeah it was the car - its not a runner as yet - the battery is on charge

and the dash needs sorting out - ie its in the glove box !!! LOL

the wheels are in desperate need of a refub - but they will do for now

and yeah she is an import - looks nice and solid underneath ( makes a change for me !! )

im hopnig it doesnt need much to be honest

gonna try and get her running tomorrow night , gonna give WGT a ring to see if he has some exhaust gasksets

and from there just play it by ear

if she runs ok - then its MOT time

got a stack of paperwork from rotechnics ( about 7K ) and the odd few reciepts for stuff , looks like a well cared for car to be honest - i have certainly seen worse

Turbo timers keep the car running for a minute or so after you switch off the ignition in order to give the turbo time to cool, prolonging its life.
