Hi Pete,

Nice figures, I should think your really pleased with them.
I\'m new to the forum and I\'ve been looking through the dyno sheets thread, I\'ve looked at a few of WGT\'s dyno sheets can you tell me what\'s going on with the lb/ft torque side of the sheet is the trace for something else?

I see JamesFD3 is the same, what\'s going on?
I\'m taking my standard FD to Pip\'s next week for compressions & power run to see how much life is left in it as I\'ve had it 6 years with almost no trouble.

Regards

Hi brian yes very pleased more to come when wastegate sorted to remove excess gases and additional injectors fitted. better asking pip about torque graphs too techy for me got 4 printouts all together all i inderstand is bhp !!!!!!!!! ,great bloke.hope compression test is good mine was done in february 8.4 fronts 8.3 rears :D  .fairly new to MRC as well had EVO\'s upto march- good luck

Pete,

I\'ve been to WGT this morning so I asked about the torque side of the graph, it\'s at the wheels before correcting for gearing. See below for comparasion

Compressions not bad but not good either with 63000 indicated, it would have been better if the rpm\'s had been a bit higher.

Front @ 231 rpm      Rear @ 220 rpm

6.65                  6.25
6.70                  6.20
6.45                  6.15

201 bhp @5600rpm at hubs approx 237 at flywheel not boosting too well at higher levels starting to tail off above 5600-5700. So room for improvement.

Hi Pete,

Try and improve boost on secondary for a start, looking at a rebuild over the winter I suppose.

I\'ll be interested in people\'s comments on the boost on second turbo, constriction from standard air box & exhaust perhaps, but I would have thought second turbo not well. Not that I know anything.

Cheers

so whats next step for you then ?

What did Pip have to say about it? What was his thoughts?

The boost looks good, the build up on the second though looks slow and lazy. When i first took my FD to pip last year, it first produced 150bhp at the wheels. Then he got it to 200bhp, then finally 226bhp! (More or less standard bhp at wheels)

Brib

Pip, said constriction of standard air box & exhaust maybe running out of air, I\'ve got a uk back box on.

Like you say it doesn\'t look like it\'s as happy as it could be, hence not making any power over 5600 rpm, still it\'s not all bad news, when it\'s sorted it should go a bit better.

My dyno results from today - a little bit lower than expected, but haven\'t really started on the engine yet.

Mods (performance affecting) to date are Racing Beat Exhaust
HKS Mushroom
Blitz Acces Chipped ECU (tuned for exhaust and intake)

First pic is HP against boost curve, 2nd pic is HP against Torque

(Flywheel figures)

I will post updated dyno sheets once the new turbo, injectors, eManage and boost controller are on.

218 at the fly - so you are looking at a 16 bhp increase over stock

i would have thought that the exhaust and filter would have gained you a lot more

and how come its only boosting at .5/.6 ??? how have you clamped it at that ????

is the exhaust fully decatted - you should be getting .8 if it is ??

might have to get mine on the rollers before i start playing :D

Exhaust will make a gain, the heat soak from the induction kit might make it loose power and power will also depend on how good the compression is.

Was that done at ReWorx?,  if so, i thought they only gave RWHP fly
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

just noticed myself on the actual chart at no6...about time to move up a bit...:yes :3gears-rh

I think a lot of problems lie with the turbo now - the car was making good boost (about 11-12 PSI), but with the stock ECU it was running lean.  Rotechnicks worked on the boost issue and managed to get it back to stock levels -  8-9 PSI, and I put the aftermarket ECU on to control the creep and correct the fuelling.  The car is reliable now, but has lost some power.  I could put the boost controller on and get back about 50 BHP, but the turbo is leaking oil into the charge now, and I suspect is not long for this world, pushing the boost up is only going to hasten it\'s demise.

When the new turbo arrives, I will get that on and then we\'ll see what it can do.  Will run it on spring only to start with, as it\'s a bigger front end anyway it should be similar to what I have now, and that\'s a good place to work from.  Emanage will go on, but only setup to read to start with, and I can then get some baseline figures before going mental with mapping.

Can\'t wait for this thing to turn up now !:3gears-rh

Mine was boosting to around 15psi and gave more than that.... must admit I\'m pretty shocked you got 218?
