Go for the power fc first, then get the car tuned to your current setup. It can make a big difference !

if i was to add the ic later on would the pfc need to be re-mapped?

just tring to work out what order to buy them in asd not wanting to have to run up and down county all the time for mapping.

really close to buying pfc and cheapest so far has been 440

shaunwil

yes but the mapping session will only be a small one, the initial main mapping is usually about 300 quid, then if you stick an ic in it may only cost another 75 quid to have remapped.

ouch didnt know a remap was that much
so in total im looking at about 1400 just for mods and remap.

mmm might keep saving and get it all done at once hopefully get a few secong hand parts.

cheers

with all that work any ideas to bhp?

Devil\'s Refugee

I have induction, full exhaust, Apexi and Greddy SMIC. Prob looking at 300bhp for this.
If you\'re buying an IC, get a V-Mount mate.

mikeyh

been offered a  blitz 3 row fmic is this any good?

Devil\'s Refugee

It\'s swings and roundabouts. I love the look of a FM, but for a Rex it restricts the airflow to the radiator, so you may see an increase in water temps.
V-mounts are supposed to be the best for airflow and keeping the rad nice and cool(ish!)
Would investigate more before buying tbh.
I bought a 3-row Greddy SMIC cheap from RHDJapan. They still have a couple in stock, it might be worth a look as a quick fix since they use existing mounts etc so not a lot of work involved to fit them. Will be buying a V-mount later when the bank balance has started to build itself up again ;)

With a straight through exhaust the first thing I would get on there is a PFC. The larger SMIC works well in the standard position.  If you fit Air filters make sure you make a heat shield and get a good bit of ducting to direct air flow to them.  With those mods you will probably hit the limit of your fuel system.

I know of a nice thick RE-Amemiya SMIC that should be for sale in a few weeks time if your interested.
