Hello all

Whats the best turbo spec wise for something that spools up instant like the twins and smooth until the end

im not bothered about big power, want the car driveable and smooth and least laggy as possible as I hate lag lol

only reason I ask, in process of taking turbos off to do inlet gasket and front turbo has more play than I would like, so weighting up my options

Also I have a Super T70 turbo that has T3 housing but found few people that sell T4 housings that will fit but different sizes heres a link

so If i can use that ill be happier :) lol

anyhow recomendations please

p.s Already have HKS EVC boost controller (fitted) and Power FC (order waiting to arrive) and might do injectors as well

depends on engine and turbo speck. Need to know what exhaust, exhaust manifold, inlet a/r exhaust a/r, engine speck, wastegate spring? ignition setup ( i can\'t spell). The list can go on.
If you have a paper inlet gasket do it. The hks boost controller have never known on work that has come in from japan. A new one prob will work.
A turbo that will spool instant to4b or a turbo 2 one will do it, you will lack power though
A small turbo

If you havnt already got these, you will need a few things to go single the main ones being...

FMIC
Upright Rad
Bigger Injectors
Fuel Pressure Reg & Pump
Induction Kit

& a few other bits & bobs...

GT3040 is a nice turbo for that sort of power with low lag...been looking into it myself. Boosts at around 3k rpm & gives roughly 350-400hp depending on engine spec & setup :)

to4e or to4s ???? would provide the characterists you require :cheers

Def go with a gt35r (GT3540) - got one myself and its great. Boosts really early (full boost by 3300) and seems to be almost no lag - so pretty much exactly what you are after!

Cool guys

Well ive got full 3" exhaust sytem standard down pipe and de-cat

also got M\'s induction kit with K&N filter\'s heatsheild etc

Also got alu rad already

Engine standard so is inlet etc

So GT35R looks like the one to go for

Going to price it up compared to rebuilding the twins

G@NDY

I think the price to rebuild the twin turbos is about £700-900 its certainly not cheap, but a damn sight cheaper than going single:rolleyes: :yes
