Guys,

Currently mocking up the install of my Stillway IC on the black rex im rebuilding now. It looks like im going to have to remove my air pump, and get some extra piping to make the intake mate up.

Here are some pictures - my question is, what do i need to remove the air pump (blanking plates etc?) and whats the best way to go regarding routing the intake? looks like im going to want a 90 degree elbow for where the turbos go and a coupler or two, and some kind of strange 90 degree thing for the intake elbow side.

Can anyone recommend a shopping list? am i better off getting the greddy intake elbow for this IC?

thanks in advance

Jit

to remove the airpump, youll ned a pulley kit (2 pulleys and a different belt and the blanking plates id imagine

Bobfish

Well ive just bought 2 90 degree silicon elbows, a coupler and a meter straight length. I think i should be ok fitting this, guess ill have to try it without the Greddy intake elbow.

But if you guys have anything to add regarding the air pump and block of plates please do tell!

Bobfish

Ive got the pulley kit for the air pump removal. Where do i get the blanking plate from?

Jit

surely youre gonna struggle to get the IC outlet to mate up with the stock elbow!? Maybe a greddy elbow might provide a solution but would you not be better off getting the IC outlet cut off and rewelded at a slightly more favourable angle?

Bobfish

Yeah i sure am gonna struggle! haha. Plan is to tilt the IC forward, that gives me more room - then i can use the 90 degree straight from the IC onto the elbow. Not pretty or efficient but itll work hopefully.

Jit

prob a stupid question but would an intercooler flow both ways?

Actually, you don\'t need different pulleys: you just need a shorter belt. I think you don\'t even need blanking plates either, just put a filter on the hoses - but i\'m not 100% on that.
