Am I to understand there are no rules apart from it being rotary powered. Does the car have to be street legal [MOT\'ed / SVA\'ed], DOT tyres ect.?

Carl

The info that is put in can help with that John.
I guess that formula 1 car with a rotary in it that you have can come out now!
Kind regards
Carl

My entries will be completely street legal. Drive them there, and drive them back, or call Mr AA.

Youll need to put those wipers back on to get it an MOT then!

Along with washers and a heater type thing to demist the screen IIRC  I suppose if you lop off the roof and put on a small aero screen you could get around that though ;)

Hi John and all,

It is all just beginning.

There will eventually be classes like:

Outright
Untubbed
Tubbed
Full Race
etc.

I think for now the main thing will be getting cars into the 9\'s, 10\'s, 11\'s etc.

This was a big issue for a while in Oz, "oh it isn\'t street legal etc!?"  so obviously the class system will need to be in place eventually.

To give you some idea we have cars here that are in the 7\'s and meant to be street legal (most are towed to the track/on trailers) - and I think our rules are not as liberal as they are there for what can be registered on the street.

I also think it is perfectly ok to run slicks on a street car at a drag meeting, I know many people don\'t think this is a good idea - but when you have been there and done it you never want to go back.

I think it is all good. :)
Thanks,

Fishy

If you did, you\'d be wrong Fish!

Caz drove my car 2 weeks prior and managed a 13.213, hence my desire to go back two weeks later and make amends with the result a 12. something.

So there:p

Size isnt everthing:o - It\'s how you apply it:wave.

Glen: I think you will find that quite a number of the cars on your table were running single turbo.

I have the purple one from dragon running at 460bhp:eek:  just a case of getting used to the clutch first and of course traction would help
