hi my car only has a kakimoto cat back at the moment, looking to get a DP and MP for it ,but have been told to get apexi PFC fitted at the same time ? wot sort of power will this put down? also how high can i go with the boost on this set up? (currently 10-8-10 psi)

also as im so far away from RX7 tuners can i send my apexi PFC down to REworks or drangon or that and tell them wot mods i have n they can put a map on it for me? well atleast so i could drive down n get it mapped by them.

thanks.

Im sure someone could put a map on there based on a previous car with similar mods.   They would then update it to make sure it overfuels.  Dont think this would in the slightest ever be coved in case of anything going wrong though.

With full decat exhaust then you will be near the limit on your injectors too - at least if you modded further then you would need additionals or bigger ones.

Usually with a full decat and remap on stock twins with stock boost you should see over 300FWBHP. :D

can i up the boost when it gets mapped?

Ricco_04

Think someone a bit more in the know should be able to help you hear but ill have a try.

I think the standard turbos wil be good at 1bar but at a push can take 1.2bar (with a few mods) and maybe a little more with water injection.  Standard pressure sensor IIRC is good for 1.2bar

Over stock boost I would reccomend the use of a boost controller.

was going to run apexi PFC and get an apexi avcr

would a walbro 255 fuel pump help when up ing the boost?

Ricco_04

What spec do you currently have?

Hope this is some help :
I am running full de-cat with stock boost and stock injectors.  This is just in tolerence.  If I do any more mods I need to put more fuel in - bigger injectors.  I have also been advised to get a better fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator.

Sorry I dont really know much about what fuel pumps to use to be honest. :(

The fuel pump will deffo help but i believe the BNR33 might be a better pump for your requirements although the walbro is also a very decent pump, as for the mapping yes a specialist can map if you send them the PFC with a full list of mods but this will be a safe map as car is not there to make sure all is well, closest to you is WGT in Northwich off M6 J18 Pip is a very highly rated rotary tuner and will deffo be able to do what you require, i think a indepth phone call would the right way to go.

Look for the WGT engineering link at top of page for more info,

I\'ve got a SARD 288 fuel pump with additional injectors, running with a full stainless downpipe, freeflow cat and Hiper Muffler exhaust, and HKS induction. All to be mapped by a PFC. Trust Profec II boost controller was recommended to me as it\'s more accurate for dialling in boost.

you got your car up and running devil?

Devil\'s Refugee

Not yet. Car arrived from Japan yesterday, few days earlier than expected which is a bonus. Should get it in the next 2-3 weeks. Being prepped by Gareth in Newera\'s workshop and then mapped at RE:Worx
Probably haven\'t helped the build time since I keep shopping !!!!

Have asked Gareth to take photos during the process, hope he does it, will make a nice history seeing her being put together :D

so would it be better just to fit the DP, MP , apexi PFC and avcr and let it run the stock boost ,then i wont need to upgrade the fuel system at this time?

ill drop pip an email n also see wot he thinks

Ricco_04

It was Pip that did my map so I can also reccomend him highly.  I think you will be ok with what you have said (providing you get it mapped as soon as and just be carefull of knock + overboost)  but if you want to add any more future mods you will have to upgrade your fueling.

As you said, speak to Pip and he will confirm everything for you.

I would keep the boost at stock at the moment if I were you, I have similar set up and occasionally see 94% injector duty. Once you sort the fueling out then you can safely turn the boost up a bit (make sure it gets remapped then). Have to agree that pip is your man, I take my car down at least once a year to get serviced and checked out. Excellent service and advice.
