Hello all

well did some work to mine today

first off all blocked the hole to the tube that comes off my De-cat pipe to the air pump feed as once i receive my blanking plates the AVC or what ever its called is out of there but didnt want exhaust fumes coming back up

and I also received from the states my Denso Lambda £43 including delivery with factory plug and correct lengh. Lucky for me the VW tool to remove top nut on suspension same tool to take of lambda\'s :D

So changed that and rest my ECU

Ok now my idle still being funny but not as rough and seems to idle lower but one thing I’ve noticed is that OMFG how smooth the car is to drive now!

I had so many people tell me it was a waste of money to change the lambda etc but now the car pulls cleanly, don’t get any hesitations, nothing!!! and it feels like it spools up a lot quicker as it not hesitating it’s a great pleasure to drive and took it for nice long drive as went to drop a ECU off to japjim on the forum (again mate thank you very much for lending it to me) and its was amazing totally different car to drive.

so sorry change the lambda does make a difference and my car proof of that

Even japjim who seen it idling at the weekend said it sounded better today even thou still high, def sounded better

Ok now as for my idle

When u start the car up especially with clutch all the way in

It runs nice low and smooth for about 5 seconds before only run for a couple then shot up now its slowly comes up to the 1400-1500 mark

Also as you drive it where before it would drop to lets say 1600 rpm it would stay there

Now it goes to 2000rpm and slowly starts to lower itself to about 1400-1500

And not popping as much as before but still smell likes it run way to rich on idle IMO even for a rotary

So now hopefully get rest of the parts order and go from there hopefully get to the bottom of it all :)
