I got this boost controller with my rx ->
http://www.clubrx.org/default.asp?id=5&ACT=5&content=17&mnu=5

the battery died the other week after my left door open and the alarm going off all night :/ anyway..

when i now turn it on the display just reads 666, im guessing it now runs on stock boost - the page above says this is the lowest boost the turbos can produce - 0.5? what are they usually mapped at ?

Does anyone know how i can be reset this unit to normal as as its not even reading the boost control either - it keeps showing me the devil numbers!

I\'d like to put it back to stock boost, if thats above 0.5 ?
or atleast get the controller reading the boost again.

please help.

thanks

ok pulling the plug on the unit, waiting 20 seconds and plugging it back in has seemed to of sorted it, the devils numbers have gone.

what do people suggest to put the boost at? i was thinking of leaving it off most of the time, so going on this blokes guide - the lowest the turbo will work - 0.5?
and when i needed it switching it on to stock, is this 0.7?

thanks

Hi all, I\'ve also got the EBS III with my Rex. But its not worked since day one... I think.. its boosting to 0.5 at the moment so from whats been said above this could mean its working to some degree. But the controler doesn\'t seem to do anything and theres no display. If the un-plugging and plugging it back in option doesn\'t work does anybody have any ideas to get it working again? Also, would you say to set the boost at 0.7, taking into consideration I have the apexi twin FC, HKS intercooler and workings with a 3\'\' borla exhaust.. I\'ll be playing it safe with 0.7 unless someone knows better? Cheers

what an old thread ;)
tell you what mate, getting rid of that bloody stock ecu and ebs 3 controller was the best thing i ever did on that car :)

i didnt realise but my boost problems were actually down to a bad ecu, i had all the boost pipes changed etc etc, and i gave up looking why occasionally it didnt boost properly..
then i bought an apexi power fc and got it tuned by pip, the best money i have ever spent, with the extra power and the fact it was boosting properly transformed the car.

To be honest if youve got all those mods, especially the exhaust id be straight in line for an ecu as id be worried its running lean..

miss that car, best car i had ever owned RIP
