Question about Water Injection for those that have it

What do you do in winter ?  Do you use a premix of some kind to stop freezing, or just disconnet the stystem ??

Heard of people using meths all year round. A 50/50 mix.That\'ll definately stop it from freezing and it keeps the air temps down even lower which is a bonus through the hotter weather.

Some use alcohol/meth as said above.  This stops it freezing but also has the benefit of a higher octane level.

Don\'t know about the alcohol part but the meths you can get from any DIY store.50/50 with water in your tank,that should work.

I ment Meth as in Methanol, what they use as fuel in CART, as apposed to Meth\'s as in methylated spirit.

I dont use water injection so sorry I do not know where to buy from.

Methanol is a controlled substance now so you will have to know the right people to get it.... when the air temp is lower than 20 deg C injecting water is pointless so dont bother with meth if that is the reason for using it/wasting it
