RX8 PZ at Motor Show

Hi all.

I managed to get to the last day of the show on Sunday AND got adrive in the new PZ as well as the new MX5 :wiggle .

The MX was very nimble around the short and twisty track but I still did a cr*p lap :mad: . Even the pro-driver that sits in with you had to apply the hand brake as I was starting to lose it, great fun :yes .

The PZ feels so much taughter than the stock 8 which no doubt makes the car a better track tool and more fun on the Q\'s highways.

The difference was noticable as soon as I sat in the car, on the bendy bits there was much less body roll.

I\'ll post some pics once I\'ve resized them. Also got videod in the PZ and losing it in the MX5 but I think the vids may be too large to post.

Excellent pics Ian. Debated going to the show while back in the uk but was too busy speeding round UK just enjoying the car while en route to visiting friends. Hope i didnt miss out on too much by not going. Just not much of a fan of OEM car shows.

I got VIP tickets from Mazda so skipped the queues for the zoom zoom challenge. Did 25.48 in the PZ first then 25.17 in the MX5 - probably should have done them the other way round to get a better time.

My overall score was 29.65 so not quite good enough to make it onto the leader board - but it was excellent fun. :cool

^^ Better than me tho\'!!!!!!!!! I had a right old laugh getting the instructor bloke to pull the hand brake on in the mx5 cos I was sh*te and gave it too much welly :rollin

I found the MX-5 way too light so I can imagine!

There\'s an Iain Thacker at number 71 on the final scoreboard - anyone we know?
