Yeah thats right - something really dodgy going on here

it looks like the passenger side bush failed sometime in the past - rather than being replaced the dust covers were removed and silicon was injected into it - and the dust covers replaced

if you think your car has a chequred past - then CHECK THESE NOW !!!!!!!!!!

i didnt get a chance to take pics as we did it :(

there was me and 2 mates doing it - so didnt want to annoy them with taking pics :S

i used this write up

http://www.mazdatrix.com/faq/rrsteer.htm

and removed the bushed in a vice in the garage - you need a good size bar to help doing this

*** WARNING ***

Do not try and remove the ABS sensor ( if fitted ) from the back hubs - open the door - remove the plastic sill cover ( 5 screws ) - and unplug the ABS from the wiring loom :D

feed this back thru the hole and remove with the hub - its held on with 4 bolts on the rear arm thingy - 12mm socket needed

the works wasnt tooo bad to be honest

1 - monday - stripped the drivers side down and removed the bush
2 - tuesday - fitted DTSS and rebuilt drivers side and stripped down and removed the bush ( if you can call it that )
3 - wednesday - fitted DTSS and rebuilt passenger side and test drove

feels a LOT better - but the front end still has issues - i get an amazing amount of torque steer now ????

and yes ... im turning my hands to all sorts now on this car :D

i even polished it and i have a black car ... WOW

Stu you may need to get it 4 wheel aligned? if its been done with a Goosed bush then it\'ll be out of wack.

Thats not torque steer they call it Drifting :)

shaunwil

The bushes where completely gone when we swapped them over. Not as bada  job as we thought.
