I got a box full of pipes from california today :D I think they got mixed up and sent me some roll cage tubing ... it\'s really thick walled stuff :cool

hopefully enough parts to build an exhaust to suit our rather unique engine bay :Laugh

Ian, will send you a cheque for that spare U pipe ASAP as I reckon we will be needing it :guinness

Mike,
Just going through the tread, is that a weber 45 carb? on a 13b?
like the suspension set up (i wish!)
Mark

MikeLMR

nearly, its a 48 Dellorto. I think a 45 is a little on the small side for a 13B

mpk490p

any idea on BHP?
my weber should be going on to a ported 13b so it would be a good comarision?

not sure on the power, I\'ll be happy with anything over the standard for a 13B 6 port. At the end of the day if it pulls hard and with no major flat spots I\'ll be happy. Once it\'s up and running I may go a little more extreme with the engine (I\'d like to now but don\'t have the cash and this engine is a very good starting point)

Know what you mean!
mine is the 4 Port 13b im estimating 200bhp? with the carb but like you say as long as she works and make\'s me smile i\'m happy
Mark

MikeLMR

has it been ported ? and what sort of weber carb ? 48 IDA ?

mpk490p

it has been ported, i have a weber 45 to go on it, tried to find a 48 but there were none about at the time, pip will be fitting it soon and setting it up so i will et him to rolling road it then

That dont look right Mike,a carb has to to stand up,not lay down....:spank :Typing

MikeLMR

do the IDA carbs sit lower than the up and over Dellorto manifolds ? i don\'t have a lot of room for some strange reason :D

A) cos your engine is to high in the car
B)cos its not far back enough
C)cos I dont know what the reason is.............LOLOLOLOL:wiggle

MikeLMR

I don\'t think it\'s possible to get an engine any lower without going to a front steer rack :) (I\'ve looked at the option and it could be done)

It\'s because of the position of the bulkead, an IDA would foul the wipers :D
