hey guys right just put in my new rebuilt engine has a few probs as follows:

- Rev counter and oil pressure gauge not working? i thought i saw them working once but now they arent not sure?

- Cannot find the lamda 02 sensor plug connector? should this be on engine bay lume or engine harness?

- Eveytime the engine is reved then allowed to die off with a blip it back fires? could this be caused by secondary air pump?>>>>>:flamed

- Secondary air pump not sure if it is connected in the right sequence? any photos or diagrams?:yes

thanx loads guys also as i bought this engine all my other engine and stuff will be for sale next week

Lambda connector is on loom, near lifting hook at back of engine (drivers side).  Same loom as wire that goes under plenum to inlet temp sensor IIRC.

Cheers Jon.

fancy lending me back the removal dvd...ive got slightly stuck lol!? Or ill buy it back off you?!

1 - Not sure why that is...oil pressure gauages are notoriously unreliable on fds...

2 - It should bee on the engine harness...i think its on a part of the loom that goes under the plenum and around the rats nest (turbo side of the rats nest )

3- doubt thats caused by the air pump....ait got a clue otherwise.. what do you mean by secondary air pump?

4 - What do you meann by secondary air pump?

Sorted the rev counter and oil pressure the wire was split near the sensor the rev counter just started working maybe didnt work due to low batt?

Sound the lambda conntector sorted.

npot sure on the correct piping for the air pump eg all the boost hoses and secondary airpump pipes are hangin?

one2watch whats the problem with yours thought you only had the nest left?

Jit

oh you mean the pipes coming from the turbos to the filters....

Turns out my turbos were knackered so im buying a new set....then i thought...may as well rebuild the engine cos if that goes pop, itll take out my nice new turbos!

Mr_7

oh cool i see this rev counter faults when its under load it normal cuts off then comes back on any suggestions
