I plan to change my own clutch, do I have to buy it from a rotary specialist or could it be ordered through a general parts supplier?

Anyone know the parts and part numbers required, or can I obtain a repacement \'kit\'

Is part No.  N315-16-460D [thanks Clive] all I\'ll need to buy?

Hi John,

I think l have posted this before elsewhere on the site but here you go, providing you have undertaken this before a few tips would be /

You will need the car high to do this as you need to get under the back of the car as well,

You will find that you have to remove the Power Plant Frame that connects the gearbox to the diff, be careful and support the engine as when you remove the gearbox the engine will fall forward.

The clutch pressure plate has to be undone from the flywheel to remove the gearbox but apart from the above it\'s all conventional.

A final word of warning is that these are heavy gear boxes so unless you have the equipment to do this and a helping hand l personally would give it a miss.
All the best Clive

Hi John,

As your car is stock and if you have only had it just starting to slip
you should get away with just a new centre plate, if it\'s realy bad now l would advise a complet clutch assembly as the slipping may have got the pressure plate hot and distorted it.
All the best Clive

Thanks Clive

The car still drives ok - it seems to slip when the second turbo kicks in around 4500rpm - then the car takes a while to catch up.
Just driving steady until I sort it.

I have a mechanic freind with a four poster [ramp that is not bed] who will work with me on this so I fancy giving it a go.
