how and whats the easiest way of changing the leads in my type r cause changing the plugs was a right bloody job

Fishy

If you think the plugs were a pain, then the leads are even worse. I think from memory you have to remove the throttle body.

Yes, throttle body has to come off...

marktyper, where are you going to get the leads from?

Mark

Have you even got the car started yet mate ?

marktyper

no car is still dead think the battery needs replacing doesnt seem to turn over fast enough and battery is dead before it gets a chance cleared the flooding twice but still no luck

davefrith

you got RAC ? just get them to take it to a rotary garage near you

easy solution if you have the cover

Dave

marktyper

there is no garage close do you think the battery could be the solution i read somewhere that someone tried jumping with a landrover but no joy

davefrith

assuming its flooded then the battery needs to be fully charged to be able to sort it out, if its dying too quickly then replace the battery then try and again

if you have RAC/AA they will take it to the garage of your choice, it dosen\'t sound like you are getting anywhere with it

where abouts are you

Dave

marktyper

derbyshire my mate has rac were gonna give it a try in a bit i know pistons but struggling with rotors

davefrith

best way I reckon mate, call them out get them to try and fix it, if they can great if they can\';t they\'ll take it somewhere who will

i think they even take it to a garage of your choice so you\'ll make it to a rotary specialist

Good Luck

Dave

marktyper

ok mate i will see how they get on getting pissed off with removing the spark plugs all day because they keep coming back out wet after trying to jump it

Fishy

Plug the car up to a diessel engine battery, they have plenty of power to share. ;)
