I have just rebuilt my 92 FD with a single turbo, I have installed 1600cc secondary injectors, when I changed the setting on the Apexi Power FC it would only let me go up to 1500cc can this be changed?
Also because I have changed the fuel rail the green conector that was in the middle between the injectors is no longer plugged in, does this matter?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

Do not worry about the green plug, just tape it up and forget it however the injectors are not quite so easy, as you need a laptop to tell your PFC that it is now operating 1600CC injectors

Unfortunately the commander is unable to accomplish this.
If in doubt you can always put your standard ECU back on the car and drive it somewhere to get a mapping installed.

The car will boost cut at around 2800 revs but it will not do your engine any harm provided you creep it along..

Hope this helps
All the best Clive

the green connector is plugged into a heat sensor, this needs to be kept plugged in but just tape the sensor up, if its not plugged in your heat light will stay on.

as for the 1600 this can be done on the laptop with the datalogit
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......

If you set the apexi to 1500cc you will be fine until you run it in and get mapped but you shouldnt give it any stick.

I dont think the heat light will come on because of the petrol temp sensor though
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

heat light does come on due to petrol sensor not being present as mine is on lol

Can the plug just not be brdiged, or summat? Or does it require a resistor to turn the heat light off?

I thought it was the sensor that goes in the cat that makes that light come on, it also acts as a knock light on the apexi.

The petrol temp sensor doesnt really do much

If the apexi sees a sensor down it leaves the heat light on permenantly

for nock the light flashes

on std ecu it comes on for cat getting too hot

i need to get a sensor jsut to plug in to turn the light off i think.

Only \'permanently\' while the error exists. Or may depend on the error. When my postion sensor for the oil metering pump was flagged up as an issue, it only showed up while it was being problematic.

CraigN

well i have no sensor fitted so the apexi is flagging this so the light stays on, plug one in and it goes off.
