Hi im still quite new to the cars and not very mechanically minded, so please forgive my lack of knowledge!
I have a 93 rx7 and I am a little way from home and a garage! I have a lot of green fluid under the car and i dont know what it is! I dont think it is oil as it is not very thick. Any suggestions?
Many thanks,
Rick. :3Confused

antifreeze?

Try and find out where it is coming from. Have your coolant levels dropped?

If you search on this forum, you\'ll find plenty ot threads on the subject!! :-(

Green fluid most likely coolant.  As above, check your coolant level, DONT drive if its leaking.  Top it up and see if you can see where its leaking from, might just be a loose hose?

Also you could check you screen wash bottle hasnt cracked and leaked out!

Is it coming from the Drivers side wing area? If so it may be your overflow tank (means you need a set of Rad/AST caps) They may even be on the wrong way (Ast on the Engine Level and Vise versa its quite common)

Some on Correct me if i\'m wrong but i think from memory the cap with no spring on the bottom goes on the AST and the Plain Cap (with no spring) goes on the Engine.

What you mean, as you said no spring on both.
Is NO spring on cap goes on water filler neck on engine.
Cap WITH spring goes on small tank (AST)

The radiator filler bottle on the drivers side wing was empty so i put some fluid in it and i all came back out! The reason it looks like its coming from diferent areas is because after it leaks out it was mostly sitting in the undertray of the engine.
I have managed to get it to Rotechnics so i am sure they will be able to sort the problem!
Thanks for the advise guys.

Ok if you have a look at the pipe that conects the AST tank and the Filler bottle under the wing, its a Black rubber hose and its got a join in it under the stock IC   that may be leaking?

mind did this a little while back, water peed out of the underneath of the car, turns out it was coming out of the expansion bottle, especially when the water temps were up - my AST cap needed replacing

Found out it is the gasket on the water pump. Expensive........................ will she be ready for pod? Hopefully!
Thanks again.
