I\'m seriously considering a move to the UK, since I got a very intresting job offer. It\'s not yet final, since many things need to be cleared first. And of course, I need to pass the english language test.
When I would make the big step, I\'d take my cars with me, if it works out. I own two NSU Ro80\'s, and a first gen RX7. My first gen is heavily modified, beyond street legal status in Belgium (where I live now). However, you guys seem to be allowed much more.
These are the specs:
Mazda RX 7 1982 with Mariah Mode One widebodykit.
Front brakes are FD calipers on unknown (to me, I didn\'t build it) discs.
Rear axle is a (re-drilled) 1985 model, with LSD.
Engine is a S5 (89-91) TII managed by a Wolf 3D V3.1 ECU
Wheels are 15" three piece alloy by PLS, with 225 tyres allround.
Many other mods are small (USA mirrors etc) but they all count.
I\'m not sure if something like this can go on the road in the UK, and  what I\'d have to do. Does it need SVA? Can I have it registered with a 13B? And is that a 2.6 or 1.3l? Is it needed to have a CAT?
I guess many other questions will come into my mind once the decision is made, but this should get me started. If the car can\'t go on the road in the UK, I\'ll need to sell it... which would be rather bad. I love this car.

long time no see :) ... at the moment it\'d be perfectly legal :D as long as it is described accurately on the registration and insurance docs.

And, judging by your english on this thread, your english test will be a doddle! :)

it would only need a mot to be registared (can\'t spell) no worries on the cat the car is to old for that if you in the area off reading when you move over would recomend tvmot.co.uk someone will corret this if it is wrong.

If I pass the test (and the training, but that can\'t be a problem: it\'s going to be the same job as I do overhere) I\'ll be all the way up in the north, just under the Scottish border (Carlisle).
It\'s good to know at least the cars can go with me.
