Does anyone know or can anyone tell me what type rx7 i have. ive seen there are loads of different type ones but i havnt got the foggiest which one mine is.    Its a 93 so im aware its the fd wotever it is.  its got an efini badge on the back and also the box storage thingys behind the front seats, so no rear seats. I read somewhere that this could be the lightweight version or the type rb  ???????        Im sure you prob all know this but im blonde when it comes to these cars.    Oh yeh, it has a bose speaker system in the boot.

sounds like a R2 with the rear bins...not sure if they came  with the bose tho...

My 94 R2 doesn\'t have the Bose....R2 was one of the lightest models looking at a chart someone posted on here a while back.

I always thought they did\'nt make R2\'s on 93???

Does it have a red badge on the back or silver? (the Enfini badge)

All the type r variants have 2 oil coolers, so that is the easiest way to check if its one of them. They are small radiators at the bottom front corners of the car. The other models have only 1 which is on the drivers side I believe. Sounds to me like you have a type X. Do you have cruise control?

Do you have a label on the bodywork in the drivers side door opening?   .....This should give you the model number along with quite a few other facts.
FD or not FD? that is the question.

If its got Box\'s and Silver Enfini its an R2. Mine is an R2 and it don\'t have Bose, If it has twin Oil coolers then its Defo an R2.

ok just found it.   Its a type R2 special edition. So the next question is why is it a special edition and is this one of the better models ?

The oil cooler on my type X is on passenger side Barmer, just a blank plate on drivers side,

It may be a Special becouse i thought the R2 was 94 on?? maybe they where testing the Market??

Yeah I thought that too. Maybe thats why it has the Bose as well.
