Upon searching through the forums a lot of people seem to experience broken door handles.  Mine started seizing up recently and tonight I just broke the damn thing :(  I though it might be to do with the alarm and central locking but now I\'m not sure.  The passenger side is also very tough, so much so that I daren\'t try and open it.  This leaves me climbing in through the boot until I get repair/replacement ones.

The small handle bit has sheared underneath, but I guess you can\'t buy this part on it\'s own... has anyone repaired such a breakage?

Does anyone know where to get carbon fibre look door handles?  Not the expensive Feed ones.

Is breaking door handles a common occurrance?

Mazda items are £97+vat for drivers door and £65+vat for passengers door from Mazda UK. You\'ll get them for a chunk less I think if u get em from Japan.

Oh, Geff/RE:Worx said he\'d match your £255 btw mate on the Feed handles. If a couple of people want them then he\'ll probably knock a couple of quid off but not much. Delivery in 2 may be 3 weeks atm while the Japs get over new year ;)

After some sound advice from Adam at Motormall, I took to WD40-ing the passenger side handle.  This involved prizing off the interior cover, un screwing the 2 bolts that hold the exterior handle assembly on, and spraying the inner gubbins with a healthy dose of the WD40.  Handle works like a charm now, so at least I don\'t have to resort to acrobatics to enter my car now :)

I\'ll be in touch with Geff at RE:Worx for some Feed replacement handles very soon (I got my sleek headlights and Mazdaspeed rear wing through him too) so all should be well again and I\'ll have a spare passenger side handle in case I forget my own strength again

Cheerz all.

Exactly what I found mate, both were about to snap off before a thorough WD40-ing. Good as new afterward - just got to get there before some thing snaps, eh Danny  :D

Get lube-ing yer door handles peeps!!
